Energy and Pollution

CISED’s work in this area has primarily focused on the economic costs of nuclear energy and safety aspects of nuclear reactors, especially their potential for catastrophic accidents. Recently we have started critically analyzing the potential for nuclear power at the global level to be a solution to climate change. In the past two years, we have also been involved in analyzing the electricity sector of the state of Karnataka.
